Product FAQ

How do I replace my fluorescent tube with an LED fluorescent tube?

With an LED fluorescent tube, you can save up to 70% on energy costs compared to a traditional fluorescent tube.

What should you pay attention to when replacing your fluorescent tube with LED?

  • First check the length of your current fluorescent tube and make sure the new LED fluorescent tube is the same length.
  • Then check whether your fixture has a starter or not.

Has a starter?
Then you have a conventional fixture. In that case, you can simply remove the old fluorescent tube and starter and replace them with the LED fluorescent tube and the supplied ‘dummy’ starter.

No starter?
Then you have a high-frequency fixture. To use an LED fluorescent tube in this, you must remove the ballast and adjust the wiring so that the power supply is connected to one side of the fixture. After that, you can install the LED fluorescent tube.

Always ensure that the LED fluorescent tube is installed correctly. An LED fluorescent tube only works with power on one side. This is indicated on the tube, for example with “DO NOT POWER THIS END” or “NO INPUT”.
