When converting an old fluorescent fixture with a ballast to use an LED tube, it’s important to understand how the fixture is configured.

Note: Some fixtures contain both a starter and a ballast.
For these types of fittings, both the ballast and the starter must be removed before installing the LED tube.

An LED tube is always connected directly to 220–230V mains power. Therefore, always check the wiring diagram provided with the LED tube before starting the installation.
