When you are not at home or are unable to accept your package, the postal carrier may try to deliver your package to one of your neighbors. In case this is not possible and depending on the carrier, you will receive a card in your mailbox with a 'not-at-home code'. With this code, you have the chance until 22:00 to inform the carrier directly about when you would like to receive your package. When you don't make use of this, the carrier will automatically give another attempt at delivering your order the next day.
When the carrier again is unable to deliver your package the next day, the carrier may choose to deliver your order to the nearest parcel point. Once this happens, you are able to pick up your parcel from said point. When this happens, a mandatory ID check may be implemented when picking up your package, so be sure to bring that with you.
