Smart plugs

Using a Smart plug as an alert in case of a power outage.

Power outages can cause inconvenient problems, such as a fridge or freezer thawing, or an aquarium running out of oxygen. With a Smart Power Plug, you can easily prevent this: set up an offline notification in the menu, so you receive an alert on your phone if the power goes out. This is especially useful when you are not at home, allowing you to take quick action.

Connecting the Smart Power Plug

Connecting the Smart Power Plug is simple:

  1. Plug the device into the Smart Power Plug.

  2. Plug the Smart Power Plug into the wall outlet.

  3. Ensure the connected device does not exceed the maximum load of the Smart Plug.

Setting Up an Offline Notification

  1. Make sure the Smart Power Plug has been added to the app.

  2. Check in your profile settings that push notifications are enabled.

  3. From HOME (My Home), go to the menu screen of the Smart Power Plug.

  4. Tap the edit icon in the top right corner.

  5. On the edit page, enable Offline Notification.

  6. A pop-up will appear stating that you will receive a notification if the Smart Power Plug is without power for 30 minutes. Tap OK.

  8. Tap < again to close the menu screen
