Some routers offer two Wi-Fi networks: one at 2.4 GHz and one at 5 GHz. It is important to note that our Smart products can only connect to the 2.4 GHz network.
Setting Up Your Smart Products Correctly
Ensure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
Only then can you pair the Smart product via the app.
Tips:
Many routers indicate the difference in the network name (SSID), for example:
home-2Gorhome-5G.2.4 GHz offers a wider range than 5 GHz. If you are further from the router, your phone will often automatically switch to 2.4 GHz. If you are close to the router, your phone usually prefers 5 GHz.
If you cannot connect, temporarily disable the 5 GHz network in your router settings. After pairing your Smart product, you can re-enable 5 GHz.
