What is dimmability?

Dimmability indicates whether a lamp’s brightness can be adjusted, for example via a dimmer, remote control, or smart app. It is an important feature that affects ambience, comfort, and energy savings.

  • Dimmable lamps: the brightness can be set as desired, from full power to a soft, low light. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or mood lighting.

  • Non-dimmable lamps: the lamp always operates at full brightness and cannot be adjusted.

For smart lamps, dimmability can often be combined with colour temperature adjustment or pre-set scenes, providing even more control over the lighting in a space.

A dimmable lamp provides flexibility and control over lighting, suitable for any situation or mood.
